What started in 1909, The NAACP is the Nation’s foremost, largest, and most widely recognized civil rights organization
Today, it’s more than half-million members and supporters around the world are premiere advocates for civil rights in their communities. They are leading the efforts in grassroots campaigns for equality and voter mobilization.
Forging into the twenty-first century the NAACP has over 2,200 branches and over 500,000 members across the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Germany and Japan. The NAACP reinvigorated its commitment to the fight for freedom engaging young adults to continue the fight until equality is no longer a far-fetched hope.
We need to continue to show our support to those whose families have faced with racism, healthcare denial during COVID-19, violence, social, political and economic inequality. We are asking you to participate in our movement for human rights in 2024!
Black Americans Are Getting Vaccinated at Lower Rates Than White Americans
Timely and comparable vaccination data by race remains spotty across states. As of May 17, there are still 17 states without comparable and timely data on the number and share of their racial and ethnic groups’ vaccination rates.
